Grievance Mechanism Policy

 

This policy outlines the process for employees of Vertex Next to raise concerns or complaints about potential human rights violations or other workplace issues.

Who can use this Grievance Mechanism?

This mechanism is available to all employees of Vertex Next, regardless of their position, nationality, or employment status (full-time, part-time, temporary).

What can be reported?

You can use this mechanism to report any concerns or complaints related to:

  • Human Rights Violations: This includes discrimination, harassment, unfair labor practices, unsafe working conditions, or any other violation of your fundamental rights as outlined in the Labor Law and International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.
  • Workplace Issues:  You can also report any other workplace concerns you may have, such as unfair treatment, salary disputes, or breaches of company policies.

How to Report a Grievance?

Informal Resolution:

  • We encourage employees to attempt to resolve concerns informally with their direct supervisor or manager first.

Formal Grievance Procedure:

  • If the informal approach is unsuccessful, you can submit a formal grievance complaint.
  • Grievances can be submitted in writing (email or letter) or verbally to the following options:
    • Human Resources Department
    • Grievance Committee (if established within the company)
    • Designated Grievance Officer
  • Your complaint should include the following details:
    • Your name and contact information
    • A clear description of the issue
    • Any relevant dates, names of individuals involved, and witnesses (if applicable)
    • Any supporting documents (optional)

Confidentiality:

Vertex Next is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your complaint. Information will only be disclosed to those who need to know to investigate and resolve the issue.

Investigation and Resolution:

  • All grievances will be investigated promptly and fairly.
  • You will be kept informed of the progress of the investigation and the outcome.
  • The goal of the investigation is to reach a fair and just resolution for all parties involved.
  • Potential resolutions may include mediation, disciplinary action, or changes to company policies.

Right to Appeal:

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your grievance, you have the right to appeal the decision to the [relevant authority, e.g., Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE)].

Protection from Retaliation:

Vertex Next prohibits retaliation against any employee who raises a grievance in good faith.  Any employee who feels they have been retaliated against should report this immediately using this grievance mechanism.
